The Biodegradable Placenta Container offers a eco-friendly way to hold, transport and store the placenta after birth. Freezer friendly and leakproof due to an airtight biodegradable liner bag that comes with it. 

Designed for women who wish to keep their placenta for burial, encapsulation, or personal choice. Made from biodegradable materials (Sugarcane Pulp & Bamboo), it can be returned to the earth when its purpose is complete, offering an alternative to plastic or single-use containers.

Please Note: Although the biodegradable container can hold wet fluids, we recommend you place placenta into the biodegradable liner bag to ensure airtight and leakproof storage. Store in freezer as soon as possible.

How to use
  1. Keep the container & liner clean and ready in your birth bag or postpartum kit.
  2. After birth, your midwife or birth team can transfer the placenta into liner sealing it securely and then into the container once it has been checked and prepared for storage.
  3. Secure the lid in place.
  4. Keep the placenta cool. Store the container in a chilled environment such as a cooler bag with ice packs or a refrigerator until you decide what you would like to do with the placenta. If possible place into freezer as soon as you can until you decide what you would like to do with your placenta.
